Description
- Continuum Feline Bb is an intranasal vaccine containing an avirulent live culture of Bordetella bronchiseptica
Indications
- Continuum Feline Bb is for the vaccination of healthy kittens and cats for prevention of disease caused by B. bronchiseptica
Efficacy and Safety
- Patented and specifically formulated for use in cats
- Over 92% effective with one dose at 4 weeks of age, as demonstrated in challenge studies conducted 3 weeks postvaccination1
- Aids in the prevention of disease caused by B. bronchiseptica 72 hours after vaccination of 8-week-old kittens, as demonstrated in onset-of-immunity studies
- Intranasal vaccination with Continuum Feline Bb stimulates rapid, local immunity in the respiratory tract, thereby inhibiting infection at the port of entry as well as preventing clinical signs
- Small volume (0.2 mL) and one-nostril application provide for ease in vaccination
- Greater than 98% reaction free in cats from 4 weeks to 16 years of age1
- May be safely administered to healthy kittens as young as 4 weeks of age
- Safe for pregnant queens
Directions for Use
- Remove the needle and administer 0.2 mL into one nostril intranasally
- Healthy kittens 4 weeks of age or older should be vaccinated prior to confinement or when risk of exposure to B. bronchiseptica may exist
- Healthy kittens 8 weeks of age or older are protected as early as 72 hours postvaccination
- Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended
